OTS scheme starts from 15th December
The Electricity Department is running a one-time settlement scheme from December 15 to provide rebate in outstanding electricity bills to electricity consumers. To give the benefit of OTS scheme to the consumers where the electricity bill is being deposited at the power station. Consumer bills are being collected by setting up camps at various places. Even on Sunday holiday, camps were organized at 80 places in all the four electricity distribution division areas, in which a large number of consumers came and deposited their outstanding electricity bills.
Deposit amount of Rs 17 lakh
Executive Engineer Electricity, Akbarpur, Ashish Kumar Yadav said that on Sunday, 450 consumers reached different camps in Akbarpur electricity distribution center area and deposited the bill amount of about Rs 1.25 lakh. He told that in the meantime he reached Jamunipur, Bewana, Katehari, Marailha, Engineering College, Ariya and other camps and took stock. Also appealed to the consumers to take full advantage of the scheme.

Apart from this, outstanding electricity bills were also deposited through the camp in other electricity distribution block areas. Consumers were given information about the scheme through loudspeakers. It was said that everyone should take full advantage of the campaign running in three different phases.
