Ajit Kushwaha (30), resident of Sanigwan Chakeri, had left home on December 20 and did not return after that. His family members searched extensively but nothing was found. After this other family members set out to search for him. The first thing the cousin got suspicious was when he saw a piece of his slippers, jacket, a bone from his head, pieces of meat and a hand. He called the family members. When the family members reached the spot and identified them, the police were called. According to the family members, after several requests to the police, they called Shivbhan.

Shivbhan kept rotating

Shivbhan first kept turning around the police. He clearly said that he neither saw Ajit nor did he know whether he had come towards the fields or not. After that the police took him to the police station and interrogated him strictly. Then Shivbhan broke down and spilled the beans on the entire incident to the police. He also said that he was scared and hence he buried the body in the ground.

Ajit’s father Gurusahay has filed an FIR as the plaintiff in Chakeri police station. In which he has said that on December 20, son Ajit had gone missing from home. In this sequence, when I interrogated many people of the village, Rajeev Kumar and Bhola of the village told that they had seen Ajit going in a tractor with Sandeep. Sandeep lives at his maternal uncle’s house at Shivbhan’s house, then they contacted Shivbhan for information about Ajit. When he went home, Sandeep was washing the tractor and rotavator. When I asked Sandeep whether Ajit was with him, he got very nervous and said that Ajit was not with me, then I came back from there but I got suspicious about his behavior, about which I informed the rest of the family members and the next day I and The family members went and searched where Ajit’s clothes and slippers and a severed hand were found. Whose information was given to the outpost incharge and said that there was suspicion on Sandeep. When the outpost incharge caught Sandeep, he told that Ajit had been cut by his rotavator due to which he died and Sandeep took his body away from the spot with a tractor. He was buried in a pit at the behest of Shivbhan’s nephew Sandeep. When excavation was done at that place, my son’s body was found in a dislocated condition.

DCP East Shravan Kumar Singh said that FIR has been registered against the accused. Since the punishment is less than seven years, the police will investigate the matter and file a charge sheet soon. The family has also interrogated the accused in front of the police and they are satisfied.
