Liam Payne passed away on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Late singer Liam Payne’s girlfriend Kate Cassidy took to her Instagram stories recently and penned down an emotional note. She mentioned that while many are celebrating Christmas, it is also a time of sadness and grief for many. She further hoped for ‘comfort and peace’ for all.

“As the holidays are here, I realize it is a time for happiness and joy, but it is also a time of sadness and grief for so many. Be gentle with those around you this time of year, as the holidays can feel different for everyone,” Kate wrote.

“Sending all my love to those carrying grief this holiday. I hope the seasons bring you comfort and peace. Wishing everyone a love-filled and healthy holiday season this year,” she added.

Liam Payne passed away on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Autopsy reports revealed that the singer had alcohol, cocaine, and a prescription antidepressant in his system at the time of his death. Police officials are now investigating drugs angle in Payne’s death and multiple arrests have also been made in the case as of now.

Liam’s funeral was held outside London. Several photos from his last rites surfaced on social media, leaving fans emotional. Liam’s One Direction band members – Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan also attended the funeral and paid their last tributes.

Payne soared to global fame as part of One Direction, the group that was created on the British talent show “The X Factor” in 2010. However, the singers of the band subsequently embarked on solo careers, after going on an “indefinite hiatus” in 2016.

Previously, members of One Direction also issued a statement and mentioned that they were “completely devastated” following Liam’s death. “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly,” a part of their statement read.
