After the incident, the elderly woman remained in shock and unconscious state for 10 months. Two days ago, when the woman regained consciousness, she told the whole story to her son. After which the son also went to his aunt’s house and talked. But the accused also threatened him and sent him away. Now the police has started investigating the entire matter.

Elderly people lived in a rented house

Vinay Varshney, a resident of Kaudiyaganj of Akrabad police station area, told that his mother Bina Devi had come to live in the city from the village about 15 years ago. She started living in a rented house in Naurangabad. She had also brought gold and silver jewelery with her, which she kept in her sister’s house instead of keeping it in a rented house.

The victim told that his aunt lives in Surendra Nagar, near whom his mother’s jewelery lived. Her aunt had told her to take the jewelery when needed. On February 21, 2024, when his mother went to collect her jewellery, his aunt, her son and son-in-law abused and beat his mother. After this they were sent away.

Woman remained in shock for 10 months

The victim told that after that incident his mother remained in shock and remained in an unconscious state. During this period, he got him treated in many hospitals. Recently his mother regained consciousness and was able to talk. So he told the whole thing.

After talking to the old man, Vinay went to his aunt’s house and asked to return the jewellery. It is alleged that his aunt and family members threatened him and sent him away with death threats. After which he complained to the police station, but no action was taken.

Investigation started after the video went viral

A video of this entire incident is also going viral on social media, in which an elderly woman is narrating the entire story that happened to her. People also tweeted this video through X, after which the DGP office gave instructions to Aligarh Police to investigate. Following the orders of higher authorities, the investigation of the case has been handed over to the Quarsi Police.

Quarsi police station in-charge Shishupal Sharma said that the matter is being investigated on the basis of the complaint. Further legal action will be taken based on the investigation.
