Following a minor dispute over supremacy between Nekamau and Hussainpur villages of Bewar police station area of Mainpuri, the police have arrested two accused on the information of an informer, who shot and injured a youth and spread terror in the village by firing. six on 23rd December

Based on the complaint of the incident, the police had registered a case against 6 named and 5 unknown accused, out of which two accused were arrested on Wednesday. Police have also recovered weapons from the arrested accused. Now preparations are being made to send the accused to jail.
The injured youth Dhruv Kumar, who was staying at his maternal uncle’s house in the village, was shot and seriously injured by the accused. The bullet hit him below his chest. During this time, the accused also beat up the family members of the youth. There was chaos in the village after the incident, and when the villagers gathered, the accused fled leaving the bikes.
On the complaint of Dhruv’s maternal uncle Ramit Singh, the police had registered a case against five unknown accused including Luv Pratap, Himanshu, Ram Pratap, Preeti, Deepu and Bobby of Hussainpur and Nekamau villages. The police launched a search for the accused and eventually arrested two accused.
Police officials say that the arrested accused are being interrogated, and the remaining accused will be arrested soon.
