Orai Kotwali police and SOG team of Jalaun have achieved great success. Both the teams have arrested 3 vicious smugglers from whom illegal ganja worth Rs 50 lakh has been recovered.

He used to supply as per the demand, which he was carrying in a DCM covered with agricultural equipment. The police took action against all three and registered a case under the NDPS Act and sent them to jail.

Disclosing this matter, Jalaun Superintendent of Police Durgesh Kumar said that Inspector Ajay Brahm Tiwari in-charge of Orai Kotwali and SOG in-charge and surveillance team received information that there was illegal storage of fuel in the tank of a harvester in a DCM in front of Vijay Vikram Palace Petrol Pump in Orai. Ganja is kept in different ways, which has been brought for supply in Jalaun as well as different areas.

On this information, SOG and surveillance team along with Orai Kotwali police reached, where during investigation, illegal ganja was found kept in the tank of agricultural equipment kept in DCM. Which was confiscated by the police. During this time, Ganesh Prasad Rathore, resident of Anuppur, Madhya Pradesh, and Pramod Sain, Manoj Raikwar, residents of Kusma Maharajpur, Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, who were traveling in the DCM vehicle, were arrested.

During interrogation, all three people told that they used to supply ganja to different districts as per the demand and had brought it from another state. The Superintendent of Police said that a case has been registered against the three arrested people under the NDPS Act and they have been sent to jail.
