PM Surya Ghar Yojana does not seem to be gaining momentum in Ambedkar Nagar. More than 16 hundred applicants applied to take advantage of the scheme, but till now only 250 people could install solar panels on their homes. Whereas the applications of 1350 applicants were rejected due to some discrepancy in their documents.

Due to increasing electricity consumption and shortage of coal, the Central Government started PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme in the month of February. Under this scheme, up to 300 units of free electricity is given. Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, a grant of Rs 30 thousand is given by the Central Government and Rs 15 thousand (total Rs 45 thousand) is given by the State Government on rooftop of one kilowatt capacity.
Similarly, for two kilowatts, a grant of Rs 60 thousand is given by the Center and Rs 30 thousand i.e. Rs 90 thousand is given by the State Government. Whereas for load of three kilowatts and above, a grant of Rs 78 thousand is given by the Center and Rs 30 thousand (Rs 1.08 lakh) is given by the state government. Under PM Surya Ghar Yojana, more than 1600 people applied for it, but till now only 250 people could install solar panels on their houses.
At the same time, the applications of 1350 applicants are pending due to some discrepancy in their documents. Among those whose applications are pending, the papers of some have not reached the bank, while there is a shortage in the papers of some, the applicants do not have the information to get it corrected. Given.
Executive Engineer Akbarpur Electricity Ashish Yadav said- People are being made aware about PM Surya Ghar Yojana. For this, publicity is being spread through various mediums. Applicants whose documents have errors will be given the benefit of the scheme after getting them corrected.
