The three-day award ceremony was organized at Goenka University, Delhi. In which units of GD Goenka schools from India and abroad participated. This year also Agra Unit won this prestigious award. Last year’s Gayatri Devi Goenka Award was also given to GD Goenka School Agra Unit. The school has performed brilliantly in all areas over the years. The district topper of CBSE board has been from this school. Students have also excelled in fields like theatre, dance, music, and innovation. The achievements of the school students in sports competitions have also been commendable. On this basis, this award has been given to GD Goenka School of Agra Unit.

Actor Boman Irani and former Union Minister Smriti Irani attended the ceremony.

The first day of the ceremony saw the presence of well-known Bollywood actor Boman Irani, former HRD minister Smriti Irani, first Indian woman IPS Kiran Bedi, and spiritual leader Sister Shivani. On the second day, former Indian football team captain Baichung Bhutia and famous Bollywood playback singer Tulsi Kumar attended the award ceremony. The award was presented by Nipun Goenka, Owner and Managing Director, Goenka Group and Bharti Sharma, Academic Head. Bharti Sharma said that GD Goenka School Agra has brought glory to the Goenka Group in the last few years by achieving top positions in sports, innovation and CBSE Board Class 10 and 12 results.

This award was given to Puneet Vashishtha, Principal of GD Goenka School, Agra. Principal Puneet Vashishtha expressed happiness and said that this award is dedicated to all our teachers, students and parents. Thanks to their trust and hard work, we have achieved this feat for the second consecutive year. School President Sanjay Aggarwal congratulated the Principal and all the teachers on this achievement. He said that we are continuously striving for improvement and innovation in the field of education.
