Ghaziabad schools have been shut for Classes 1 to 8 until December 30 due to heavy rainfall and bone-chilling weather in the district.
All schools in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh will remain shut until December 30, 2024. Amid the heavy rainfall in the district and bone-chilling weather, the District Magistrate of Ghaziabad has announced holidays for Classes 1 to 8 from December 28 to December 30, 2024. The district administration further ordered the schools to not conduct classes before 9 AM for the Classes 9 and above. This decision aims to ensure the safety and well-being of students during adverse weather conditions.
“In view of heavy rainfall in the district, and in compliance with the instructions issued by the District Magistrate, Ghaziabad, all schools affiliated with the UP Board, CBSE, ICSE, and other boards for Classes 1 to 8 in Ghaziabad district will remain completely closed from 28-12-2024 to 30-12-2024. Additionally, classes for students in Class 9 and above should not be conducted before 9:00 AM,” stated the official notification.
Winter Vacation In Haryana Schools From January 1
Meanwhile, the Directorate of School Education, Haryana announced a winter break for students in all private and government schools in the state from January 1 to January 15, 2025. The schools will be reopened as usual from January 16, 2025.
The Haryana Chief Minister’s Office, in a post on X, confirmed the winter holidays for all private and government schools in the state.

However, students may be required to attend school for practical exams as per the schedule set by the CBSE and ICSE boards for 10th and 12th-grade students.a
