Kabirchaura complex of Maghar, the place of nirvana of Sufi saint Kabir Das in Sant Kabirnagar, is immersed in darkness these days. Most of the lights in the complex have broken down. Due to which there is darkness everywhere as the evening approaches. The goods of the shopkeepers who came for the Khichdi fair are in the premises.

The Central and Uttar Pradesh governments have done many development works to make Kabir Sthali attractive for tourists and to increase facilities. But malfunctioning lights are not only affecting the beauty of the campus, but the chances of accidents and theft have also increased due to darkness.

Local shopkeepers and tourists are troubled by this problem. Due to darkness it is becoming difficult to control incidents of theft. People are demanding the administration to fix the lighting system as soon as possible.
Chairman representative Nooruzzama Ansari said that the faulty lights of the campus will be rectified soon. He said that a high lifter is being called to repair the lights. The administration is trying to ensure that tourists and shopkeepers coming from outside do not face any problem during Kabir Mahotsav and Khichdi Fair.
