Officials of different civil societies in Ghaziabad met the Municipal Commissioner and also handed him a letter. Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik to Civil Society i.e. RWA Federation Ghaziabad, Flat Owner Federation Ghaziabad, Confederation of RWAs, RWA across the line.

Everyone raised the issue of maintenance

Civil society head Colonel Tejendra Pal Tyagi told the Municipal Commissioner that the Municipal Corporation is a maintenance agency. There should be annual contracts for road repairs, sewer blockages and maintenance of street lights every year. The Municipal Commissioner said that at present it is difficult to enter into annual maintenance contract for cleaning of drains and street lighting due to ITMS. He has assured to enter into annual maintenance contracts for road repairs.

Demand for Kargil Vijay Chowk put forward

The people present in the meeting expressed their concern about making medals from waste material and giving them to students in government schools, renaming the intersection located in Vaishali Sector 6 as “Kargil Vijay Chowk”, getting traffic signals installed to control pollution, and unauthorized use of signs in Gulmohar Enclave. Discussed complaints about handcarts, complaining in NGT against air pollution emanating from Continental Carbon etc. Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik assured to work on these issues soon.
