A large number of tourists are arriving in Varanasi to celebrate the New Year. More than 5-7 lakh devotees are likely to come for darshan and worship at Kashi Vishwanath temple. The temple administration has made concrete arrangements regarding this, while the police has issued a traffic advisory.

ADCP Traffic has issued other advisories including diversion, no-vehicle zone for December 31 and January 1. The diversion will start from 2 pm on Tuesday till midnight on Wednesday. The Commissionerate Police has also set up duty points.

– Bank of Baroda: No 4 wheeler/3 wheeler will be allowed from Bank of Baroda Tirahe towards Assi. These vehicles will be diverted towards Ravindrapuri/parked on the roadside.
– Aggarwal Tiraha: All types of vehicles coming from Assi Tiraha will not be allowed to go beyond Agarwal Tiraha. Vehicles will be diverted towards Broadway Hotel and parked in front of Keenaram Ashram.
-Broadway Hotel Tiraha: No vehicle will be allowed to go towards Agarwal from Broadway Hotel Tiraha. Vehicles will be diverted towards Vijaya Tiraha, which will go to Jal Sansthan or Khojawa via Kamchha for Rath Yatra.
– Bhelupur intersection: From Bhelupur intersection, 4 wheeler/3 wheeler type vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Sonarpura, these vehicles will be diverted towards Vijaya Tiraha and from Bhelupur intersection, they will not be allowed to go towards Ramapura intersection, these vehicles will be diverted towards Vijaya Tiraha. Will be diverted. From in front of Bhelupur police station, light and two-wheeler vehicles will come to Jaynarayan Singh Inter College via Rewari pond and will park the vehicle in the ground here. Beyond this, no vehicle will go towards Ramapura.
– Sonarpura Square: No four/three wheeler vehicles of any kind will be allowed to go towards Godaulia from Sonarpura intersection. These vehicles will be diverted towards Bhelupur.
– Gurubag Tiraha: Any type of four/three wheeler vehicles will not be allowed to go towards Ramapura intersection from Gurubag Tiraha via Laksa. These vehicles will be diverted towards Nimamai and Kamchha.
– Laksa Tiraha: Four/three wheelers will not be allowed to move from Laksa Tiraha towards Ramapura intersection. Vehicles will be diverted towards Gurubag Tiraha.
– Ramapura Square: Under no circumstances will 4 wheelers be allowed to move from Ramapura intersection towards Gaudoliya, these vehicles will be diverted towards Laksa and Beniya Tiraha.
– Godaulia Square: Under no circumstances will any type of vehicle be allowed to go towards Maidagin and Dashashwamedh Ghat from Gaudoliya intersection. These vehicles will be diverted towards Ramapura and Sonarpura. Two wheelers will be parked in the multilevel parking located at Gaudonlia only.
Mandir Marg from Godoliya intersection will remain a no-vehicle zone.
-Beniya Tiraha: No four/three wheeler vehicles of any kind will be allowed to go towards Ramapura from Beniya Tiraha. Out of these vehicles, 4 wheeler private vehicles will be parked in Benia parking. And 3 wheeler vehicles will be diverted towards Pieri.
– Lahurabir Square: No four/three wheeler vehicles of any kind will be allowed to go towards Beniya from Lahurabir intersection. These vehicles will be diverted towards Maldahiya intersection and Kashika Tiraha.
– Maidagin Square: No vehicles of any kind will be allowed to go from Maidagin intersection towards Gaudoliya via Police Station Chowk. Which include 4 wheeler/3 wheeler/pedal rickshaws will be diverted towards Kabirchaura and Visheshwarganj Tiraha. 4 wheelers will be parked in the Townhall parking lot at Maidagin.
– Visheshwarganj Tiraha: All types of vehicles coming from Machhodari side will not be allowed to go beyond Visheshwarganj Tiraha, these vehicles will be diverted towards Golgada Tiraha.
– Bhadach Chungi Tiraha: No vehicles of any kind will be allowed from Bhadauchungi towards Bhaisasur Ghat. These vehicles will be parked in the grounds of Railway Colony.
– Sujabad Police Station: All types of vehicles will not be allowed to come towards Rajghat from Sujabad outpost, these vehicles will be diverted towards Ramnagar and will be parked at Lanka Maidan Ramnagar only.
– Ashiana Tiraha No vehicles of any kind will be allowed to go towards JHV Mall. These vehicles will be diverted towards Ambedkar Square/Mint House.
– Nehru Park Tiraha No vehicles of any kind will be allowed to go towards JHV Mall. These vehicles will be diverted towards Nadesar Tiraha.
