Every year in February, a two-day divisional fruit-vegetable and flower exhibition is organized by the Horticulture Department. This year, it was decided to organize the event at Taj View Garden venue on 22-23 February. Like last year, this time also the city’s major and registered societies, private colonies and people fond of gardening will get an opportunity to participate in the exhibition. In which they will have to adopt a park at their place and develop it well. If the most beautiful and developed park is selected, the concerned society or colony or participant will be rewarded on the organizing platform.

Like every year, this time too it was considered to decorate the flower exhibition on a special theme. After considering several themes in the meeting, it was decided to decorate the flower exhibition on the theme of Mahakumbh. Instructions were given that this time along with the expert team coming from outside, the local team should also be deployed in the decoration of the exhibition. Divisional Commissioner directed to contact hotels, universities, agriculture colleges and private educational institutions of Agra division as well as nurseries and traders selling ornamental flowers to increase the participation of participants in the event.

Security arrangements of the event, public facilities, parking etc. were also discussed. This time, stalls of various types of dishes including tea, coffee and fast food will also be set up to provide refreshment to the people. In the meeting, the issue of charging entry fee for the general public to visit the exhibition was discussed. It was decided to keep the entry fee at Rs 10 per person and free entry for children up to 14 years of age.
