The court has rejected the bail plea of accused Manoj in the case of attack on the car of former BJP MLA Umesh Malik in Sisauli village of Bhaurakalan police station area in Muzaffarnagar on 14 August 2021.

Stone pelting and deadly attack on MLA’s car
MLA Umesh Malik’s car was pelted with stones during a program organized in Sisauli. Along with this, an attempt was also made to blacken the car and carry out a deadly attack. In this incident, two security personnel of the MLA were injured, while the car was heavily damaged. The security personnel had taken the MLA out safely from the spot.
During the hearing in the court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Anjani Kumar Singh, the prosecution argued that the attack was well-planned and the release of the accused could affect the investigation of the case. He said the incident endangered the life of the MLA and affected peace and order in the area.
After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court rejected the bail plea of accused Manoj. The judge said that the release of the accused could put pressure on witnesses and affect the fairness of the case.
