A constable who was involved in the DV/PST process in place of a genuine candidate by submitting fake documents has been caught by the police.

The process of DV/PST of Constable Direct Recruitment-2023 is going on. In this process, a constable himself came in place of the candidate by putting a fake certificate. The document was seized during investigation. The police arrested him. Also arrested his three other associates

Police said that the process of DV/PST of Uttar Pradesh Police Reserve Direct Recruitment-2023 is going on in Reserve Police Line Gautam Buddha Nagar. On December 30, a candidate Abhay Singh, son of Veerpal Singh, resident of Meerut, whose registration number was 11561715, roll number 4527689, had come to participate in the process of DV/PST. When the DV/PST Board checked the educational and other documents of the said candidate and checked the E-KYC/IRIS, they became suspicious.

Police have arrested three other constable’s associates who were involved in this fraud.

Investigation revealed that the said candidate is not actually genuine. Rather, he had come here to join DV/PST in someone else’s name. He had prepared fake documents by fraudulently changing the name, date of birth. Strict interrogation was done. In such a situation, his real name was Arvind Kumar, son of Veerpal Singh, resident of Sardhana district, Meerut. Who is currently posted as a constable in 36th Corps of PAC, Varanasi.

In this regard, section 318(2), 318)(4), 319(2), 338, 336(3), 340(2), 61(2) BNS and 13 UP were amended on 31 December 2024 at Police Station Ecotech-3. Arvind was arrested while registering a case under the Examination Act. During interrogation, he told about the involvement of three more people. After which three more associates Vishalsom, Tushar and Ankit were arrested from Meerut. All four were presented before the court.
