A young man died due to electric shock in Kamalpur village of Pachdevra police station area of Hardoi. Gopi, a 28-year-old youth from Kurriya Kala village of Shahjahanpur district, who used to work as a hawker in the village, had recently come to Kamalpur village in connection with his work. On getting information about the incident, the villagers informed the police. Police reached the spot and immediately sent the youth to Pali Primary Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead. Police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem and have started further legal action.
