Hollywood star Andrew Garfield has recently shared his “guilty pleasure” and fans just can’t stop talking about it! The We Live In Time actor opened up about his fondness for the hit Netflix show Too Hot To Handle. Andrew Garfield explained why he thinks everyone should watch the British reality dating series, which challenges contestants to avoid physical intimacy in order to win a cash prize. The show, which debuted in April 2020, encourages deeper emotional connections over superficial ones and has garnered a huge fan following, with its latest, sixth season currently airing.

Andrew Garfield in a recent interview with W confessed his love for the Netflix show and said, “It’s really good. It’s like a bunch of hot people who think they’re going on a Love Island–type show. In the first interviews they’re all like, ‘Yeah, I can’t wait to get railed like every day’ and then the guys are like, ‘Yeah, I can’t wait to rail women every day.’ They’re just horny, hot people — but wait, this is where the twist happens.”

Further opening up more about the show, the actor continued, “So they get to the island, and they’re like, ‘Woo!’ in their swimming costumes… and then a day goes by, they have a party, maybe a couple will make out, maybe there will be some fellatio, it’s up to them. And then, it’s revealed to them that they are in fact on the show.”

Highlighting the main point of the overall show, Garfield added there is a prize pot of money that the contestants can win only if they don’t get intimate with each other. Garfield also spoke about the show’s virtual AI host and said, “The competition is run by this Alexa kind of robot, and she tells them, ‘You’ve all been selected because you are terrified of intimacy. You will be here for a week, and anything you do physically with each other that is not born out of a true emotional connection you will be fined for, and your prize pot will go down and down and down.'”

Having detailed his overall experience on watching Too Hot To Handle, Garfield called it an “amazing thing” to witness, and see people who reveal their traumas, get soft and vulnerable over time. Elsewhere in the conversation, the actor also named another reality show that he admires and it is the British version of The Traitors featuring Claudia Winkleman.
