A shocking case has come to light in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. A woman who gave birth at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in the city alleged that doctors left a surgical needle in her abdomen during the procedure.

Surprisingly, the pin in the woman’s stomach remained undetected for two years, only discovered during her second delivery. The family claimed that this pin injured the newborn during the delivery, causing multiple injuries across its body. As a result of these injuries, doctors have placed the child on a ventilator.

Hina Khan, a resident of the Ghoghar locality in Rewa, gave birth to her first child on March 5, 2023, at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa. Both mother and baby were initially healthy, and Khan was discharged from the hospital a few days later.

However, upon returning home, she began to experience stomach pain. She consulted doctors, who reportedly attributed the discomfort to the stitches, assuring her that the thread would gradually dissolve.

After two years, she prepared for the birth of her second child at the district hospital. However, during the delivery, doctors discovered a surgical needle alongside the newborn. This discovery revealed that the woman had endured pain throughout the pregnancy due to the needle’s presence. Tragically, the newborn also suffered injuries and is currently on a ventilator. The mother, fortunately, is in good health.
