Sambhal Superintendent of Police Krishna Bishnoi said that an affidavit was given in my office by Mohammad Khalid son of Abdul Wase, resident of Mian Sarai, Kotwali Sambhal. In which he told that the place where police post is being constructed in front of Jama Masjid. His ancestors took care of him.
He told that I have no ownership rights on it. That is government land. The police post is being constructed on government land itself. I am not making any claim on the land. If someone is claiming the space, we refute it. He has described Waqf property as baseless.
The SP said that he has also told that this is actually government land. On which a police post is being constructed. His family is also happy with this. Due to the establishment of the post, there is security arrangement for all sections.
SP said that he has stated in the affidavit that his ancestors used to look after it. But in reality we have now come to know that it is government land. The case which has been registered. Whatever 20 waqf is there in that plaint is registered at number 39A. Now they are registered with the Waqf Board and wherever else. Will get verified from there. If someone tells that this is our place and our right, then action will be taken on that basis.
