Three people died and several others were injured following a stampede in Tirupati on Wednesday. The incident occurred during the distribution of tokens for Vaikunta Dwara Darshan of Lord Venkateshwara Temple in Tirumala.
According to reports, the incident occurred at Tirupati Vishnu Nivasam where the tokens were being distributed.
One of the deceased, identified as Mallika, is reportedly from Tamil Nadu, Telangana Today reported.
Meanwhile, the injured people have been shifted to to Tirupati Ruya Hospital for treatment.
