Honda is aiming to be the first to offer fully autonomous, “eyes-off” driving in all conditions by using AI innovations such as unsupervised learning and behaviour modelling.
Honda has unveiled two exciting prototype models at CES 2025: the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV, marking the start of the Honda 0 Series.
These vehicles, set to launch globally in 2026, feature Honda’s innovative ASIMO OS, an advanced operating system that powers this next-generation lineup.
The Honda 0 Saloon, the flagship of the series, showcases a sleek, sporty design and a surprisingly spacious interior. Built on Honda’s dedicated EV platform, it offers advanced features, including Level 3 automated driving with “eyes-off” functionality, making driving safer and more efficient.
The model offers personalised driving experiences powered by ASIMO OS and advanced automated driving technology. The production version will debut in North America in 2026, followed by launches in Japan and Europe.
On the other hand, the Honda 0 SUV, inspired by the Space-Hub concept, reimagines the SUV as a flexible and expansive “space” for its users. It focuses on a spacious cabin, excellent visibility, and flexible usability. With robotics-inspired control systems, this SUV offers superior stability and a new take on what an SUV can be.
Both models rely on the ASIMO OS, named after Honda’s iconic humanoid robot, which integrates automated driving, infotainment, and other systems through advanced intelligence. Over-the-air updates will keep improving features like digital experiences, dynamic driving, and personalised services. Like the saloon, the production rollout will begin in North America and expand globally.
Honda’s vision for automated driving includes advancing Level 3 technology, integrating AI innovations such as unsupervised learning and behaviour modelling. These improvements aim to enhance safety and driver assistance, offering eyes-off driving for all conditions.
Beyond vehicles, Honda is also advancing energy services with projects like an extensive EV charging network and smart home energy solutions. Through collaborations, Honda will create vast charging infrastructures and personalised energy systems, with Honda 0 Series vehicles acting as virtual power plants to optimise household electricity use and support grid stability.
