The administration took major action and demolished illegal constructions on Delhi-Dehradun National Highway-58 in Muzaffarnagar. Under the leadership of Naib Tehsildar Sachin Kumar Gond, on Friday, bulldozer was operated in an area of about 2-3 km from Rampur Tiraha to Sisauna.

The hotel and dhaba operators had illegally encroached upon the government land along the highway and constructed concrete structures, which was creating hindrance in the movement of vehicles. The administration made tight security arrangements during the operation and the encroachment was removed in the presence of heavy police force.
Sadar Naib Tehsildar has warned that now if any person tries to construct concrete structures, kiosks, street vendors or put up hoardings along the highway, strict action will be taken against him. This step has been taken to ease traffic on the highway and prevent accidents. The administration has clarified that such action will continue in future also and encroachers will not be spared. Such action will help in improving the traffic system on the highway.
