Mother and son died in a tragic road accident on Friday morning in Sajeti police station area. 28-year-old Akhilesh Pal, resident of Kuankheda village, was taking his 65-year-old mother Shyama Pal to the fields on bike. A speeding unknown vehicle hit his bike near Kuankheda outpost on Bhognipur Choudhary road and fled away. Both mother and son died on the spot in the accident.

The sad coincidence is that exactly a year ago on January 10, 2024, Akhilesh’s father Baburam Pal died of a heart attack. Akhilesh used to support his family by working in a private hospital and was the only son of the family.
The police informed the family members and sent the bodies of both for post-mortem. The condition of the family members who reached Ghatampur CHC is very pathetic. After this accident there is no heir left in the family.
Sajeti police station in-charge Kamlesh Rai said that after informing the family members, the bodies of the mother and son are being sent for post-mortem. Further action will be taken on the basis of the complaint. Akhilesh’s marriage was fixed in Kanpur, villagers told that the marriage of deceased Akhilesh was fixed in Kanpur a few days ago, however, there was an atmosphere of happiness in the house after the marriage was fixed. The young man was to get married in March. When the girl’s side came to know about the death of Akhilesh and his mother, there was an atmosphere of sadness amidst happiness.
