Angered by the disconnection of the electricity connection for public water supply, the residents of Kashiram Awas, located in the Robertsganj Municipality area of Sonbhadra, demonstrated on Friday. Local people nominated Additional District Magistrate Sahdev Kumar Mishra as District Magistrate.

Samajwadi Party’s city general secretary Jitendra Kumar said that on Thursday afternoon, the electricity department employees disconnected the public water supply connection without any prior notice due to the outstanding bill. Local residents Kalyani Devi and Sudama said that this action has created a serious water problem.
SP city president Sardar Par Brahm Singh warned that if this problem is not resolved soon, local residents will stage a dharna at the electricity department office. A large number of local people including Dilip Sonkar, Asha Yadav, Vishal, Munni Devi, Sakila Bano, Suman, Devendra Kumar, Irsad were present in the demonstration.
