Greater Noida Authority (GNIDA) will develop a software app to streamline the process of allotting abadi plots to farmers. Through this software, 6%, 8% and 10% developed plots will be given to those farmers whose land was acquired. through software

In the new system, applicants i.e. farmers will be able to upload their online eligibility claims through software. Once the application made by the applicant is approved, he will be able to track the live status of the application, get the guidelines of the authority and information about the plot sub division easily on the app. Through this app, planning and land department officials will be able to better coordinate applications, land records and management.

Various officers of the authority including OSD (Land), Senior Manager (Project and Planning), Assistant Manager (Planning), Manager (6 percent population) will be able to access this software. All these officers will have specific permission to approve applications, approve subdivisions and maintain land records as per their jurisdiction.

Companies should apply by 16 January The Greater Noida authority plans to involve software development companies and startups in designing this platform. For this, companies can apply to the authority till January 16. Startup companies who provide innovative ideas or solutions will get relaxation in the eligibility criteria.

4000 farmers are to get benefits Officials said more than 4,000 affected farmers in the Greater Noida area have still not received their abadi plots. The High Power Committee formed last year had recommended giving developed plots to these farmers within six months.

Following these recommendations, another committee consisting of senior officials from the three authorities was formed. This initiative is expected to significantly speed up the allocation process. This will ensure more transparency and convenience for the applicants.

The plots are different in all three authorities Let us tell you that in Greater Noida, 6% of the population plots are allotted in lieu of the land acquired by the authority, whereas in Noida it is 5% and in Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority it is 7%. Following the committee’s recommendations, the authority organized some camps to allot Abadi plots, but a large number of land owners have still not received possession of their plots.
