Yusuf Ibrahim shared that handling Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s marriage event was easy compared to the star-studded wedding of Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani where he had to threaten paparazzi with legal action.
Celebrity weddings have been a grand affair over the years. From top venues, custom outfits to a star studded guest list, there is so much that goes into planning the big day. Among other things, it’s tough to keep the couple’s privacy at such large gatherings and maintain security for all the guests. Yusuf Ibrahim, a well-known celebrity security expert, recently spoke out about handling many such A listers’ weddings. He shared that handling Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s marriage event was easy compared to the star-studded wedding of Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani where he had to threaten paparazzi with legal action.
In conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Yusuf revealed that Vicky Kaushal-Katrina Kaif and Rakul Preet Singh-Jackky Bhagnani had a significantly large guest list as compared to others. However, planning Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif’s wedding in 2021 at Six Senses Fort Barwara in Rajasthan was not tough. The couple had a no-phone policy, so the guests put their phones in their rooms, which made the entire experience go smoothly. He added, “We didn’t have a hard time managing the wedding because Katrina and Vicky had personally requested their guests to keep their phones away. And the guests were quite cooperative, too.”
In contrast, arranging Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani’s wedding in Goa in 2024 became difficult for them due to the large guest list and increased media attention. The duo hosted a star-studded wedding in Goa, attended by industry colleagues such as Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff and others. So, the security team had to safely escort them in while avoiding media notice. They also had to prevent the media and guests from taking pictures.
He recalled, “To manage others, I gathered them and took them for a so-called meeting. I took them to a shack and made them sit there. There were about 30 people. I warned them that nobody would be allowed to click pictures. I asked them, ‘So now you decide how you want this to happen? Do you want me to use law and security against you, or would you like to enjoy your time at this shack for the next two hours?'” Yusuf added that although they had to spend some money, he was able to control the issue without employing force. The couple got married in a lavish ceremony on February 21, 2024.
