Accused of molesting a girl in police custody.
The police has arrested the accused of molesting a 4-year-old innocent girl at a birthday celebration in Ashiana police station area of Lucknow. Accused Rinku Verma alias Bauva had lured the girl with toffee and took her along with him and performed obscene acts on her.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening, when the victim had gone with her mother to her brother-in-law’s birthday celebration. During the program, the accused gave toffee to the girl and did obscene acts with her, due to which the girl started screaming. Hearing the girl’s voice, the people present there caught the accused, but he escaped after getting the opportunity.
On the complaint of the victim’s mother, the police had registered a case under the POCSO Act on Friday night. Taking immediate action, the team of SSI Dharamveer Shahi and SI Prakash Singh arrested the accused Rinku Verma near Tikonia Park. The accused is a resident of Kila village Mohammadi. The police have arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
The girl is badly scared by the incident. Police officials say that there is a provision of strict punishment in the law for such a heinous crime and the accused will be given strict punishment.
