An accident took place in Mawana police station area of Meerut on Sunday evening. Near village Rani Nagla Mod, a speeding pickup hit an auto loaded with passengers from behind. In this horrific accident, 6 people traveling in the auto were seriously injured.

The injured include Anuj (son Dayachand), Raju (son Chandrabal), Karmaveer (son Shyam Singh), Meenu (wife Sushil) and two other passengers. At the time of the accident the auto was going from Hastinapur towards Meerut. The collision was so severe that the injured started screaming.
The passersby present at the spot immediately informed the ambulance and police. Police arrived and admitted all the injured to the Community Health Center (CHC) located in Mawana. After the accident, the pickup driver fled leaving his vehicle on the spot. The police is searching for the accused driver and is investigating the case.
