The cold in Aligarh will increase further. A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department and a warning has been issued about severe cold in the district. After which the district administration has also issued guidelines for the general public.

The minimum temperature in the district has reached 7 degrees Celsius. At the same time, due to lack of sunlight during the day and cold wave, people are facing chill throughout the day. In such a situation, the possibility of rain is also being expressed. Due to which the cold will increase further. However, continuous arrangements are being made by the administration to provide relief to the common people.

Fog is falling continuously in the district

There has been continuous fog in Aligarh for the last two days. On Friday, there was a blanket of fog in the city till 11:30-12 am. The fog had started again at 8 o’clock in the night. The situation was similar on Saturday also and there was heavy fog in the morning.

By evening, fog had once again spread across the district. Even inside the city, visibility had reduced significantly and people were facing difficulty in driving. It is being estimated that the situation will be similar in the coming days and people will have to face severe cold.

Wear warm clothes, cover your head and fingers

Guidelines have been issued for the general public by Officer-in-Charge Disaster and ADM Finance Meenu Rana. He told that people in rural areas continued listening to the radio. Keep animals safe too. Travel as little as possible to avoid exposure to cold air.

Wear several layers of loose-fitting, lightweight, windproof warm woolen clothing rather than a single layer of heavy clothing. Tight clothing reduces blood circulation. Keep yourself dry. Adequately cover your head, neck, hands and toes as there is a higher risk of exposure to cold through these body parts.

Wear gloves as gloves provide warmth and insulation from cold. Use cap and mufflers to avoid cold. Eat nutritious diet to maintain body temperature balance. Fruits rich in Vitamin C to maintain adequate immunity. Eat more vegetables. Drink warm liquids regularly, as hot beverages provide warmth to the body to fight the cold.
