Temba Bavuma has been selected as the captain of the South Africa team for the Champions Trophy.

Fast bowlers Anrich Nortje and Lungi Ngidi have been selected in South Africa’s ODI squad for the 2025 Champions Trophy after missing the entire domestic international season due to injury. Nortje was out with a broken leg, while Ngidi had a groin injury. Nortje played his last international match on June 29 in a T-20 match against India. Ngidi played his last international match on 7 October in the ODI match against Ireland.
