The police have arrested the accused of assaulting and creating obstruction to the revenue team during the measurement of government land in Khampar police station area of Deoria district. The incident took place on January 11, when Revenue Accountant Himanshu Singh along with his team went to Laxmeep of village Birmapatti.

During this time, Sheshmani Sharma, a resident of Pipra North Patti, started abusing the revenue officials. Despite the local people’s persuasion, he did not agree and started fighting with the accountant. On the complaint of Revenue Accountant Himanshu Singh, Police Station Head Mahendra Chaturvedi registered a case against the accused.
Khampar police arrested the accused Sheshamani Sharma on January 13. After being produced in the court, he was sent to jail. According to the police, the accused is accused of obstructing government work and misbehaving with revenue employees.
