The special thing is that kites with pictures of Modi-Yogi are being sold at double the price of normal kites. According to shopkeepers, the price of these special kites has been kept at Rs 8 to 10. Apart from this, kites with cartoon characters like Motu-Patlu are also available in the market.
Commenting on this trend, political analyst Vijay Vidrohi said that this is a political propaganda campaign of BJP. He believes that through such strategies the party tries to divert the attention of the general public from the core issues. This is proving to be a good business opportunity for kite traders, as people are willing to pay higher prices for these special kites.
