In a serious case of cow slaughter in Modinagar, DCP Rural has taken major action and suspended Kalchina outpost in-charge Dharmendra Singh and beat constable Pawan Kumar. Both the policemen are facing serious allegations of collusion with cattle smugglers and dereliction of duty.

This incident happened on Sunday evening, an incident of cow slaughter took place in the forest of village Jahangirpur and remains of animals were found. Angered by this incident, workers of Hindu organizations staged a strong demonstration by blocking the Modinagar-Hapur road. The main demand of the protesters was that the cattle smugglers should be encountered.

DCP Rural Surendra Nath Tiwari himself reached the spot and assured strict action and controlled the situation. Bhojpur police has registered a case against unknown accused in this case. According to ACP Modinagar acting Shweta Yadav, several police teams are continuously conducting raids to arrest cow smugglers.

Police officials have assured that the accused will be arrested soon. Besides, a departmental inquiry has also been started against the two suspended policemen, so that this entire matter can be investigated in depth.
