In Varanasi Court, the police has started the file of top-10 criminals and warrant action in old cases. The police issued NBW in the case registered in 2012 against Khajuri (Pandeypur) resident Abhishek Singh alias Honey, who is one of the top criminals of the city.

On Friday, he was produced in the court of ACJM II on NBW. The court took information about the case from the prosecution and then heard the arguments of the defense. After this, the court rejected the bail plea and sent Honey Singh to jail in the old extortion case.
The prosecution said that in the year 2012, a case of extortion was registered against Honey on the complaint of Shravan Jaiswal, resident of Madhyameshwar of Kotwali police station area. A non-bailable warrant was issued against him in the same case.
After being released on bail, he was not going to appear. On Friday he arrived with an application to cancel the warrant. Which was rejected by the court. There are 34 cases registered against Abhishek Singh. Recently the court acquitted him in another case. Abhishek Singh alias Honey had reached the court with his advocate to get the non-bailable warrant issued against him canceled by the court.
Two years imprisonment for theft accused
In Varanasi District Court on Friday, the judge sentenced the accused to two years of imprisonment in a theft case. He was convicted on the basis of evidence including the police chargesheet and witnesses. Apart from two years imprisonment, the thief was also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000.
The prosecution said that Chaubepur police had registered a case against the accused Gulab Harijan, a resident of Sehda police station, Kandharapur, Azamgarh. Later a charge sheet was filed against him in the case.
