A farmer and his bull died in a tragic road accident in Pasgwan police station area of Lakhimpur. In the Saturday morning incident, 35-year-old Dharampal of Barbar village of Pasgwan was going to collect fodder in the field in his bullock cart. Near the bus stand, about a kilometer from his house.

The collision was so severe that the bull died on the spot and Dharampal was seriously injured. Local people immediately informed the police and the injured farmer was first taken to Mohammadi CHC. When his condition became critical, he was referred to the Government Medical College, where doctors declared him dead.
According to the deceased’s brother-in-law Monu, the DCM involved in the accident was from Bahraich. The local people caught the driver and handed him over to the police. Dharampal used to support his wife and two daughters by farming. Police are investigating the case and post mortem of the deceased is being conducted in Shahjahanpur.
