The drug warehouse of the Health Department, built at a cost of Rs 8 crore, is ready in Baroda Hindwan, Hapur. The state level team will inspect it between January 22 and 24, after which it will be handed over to the health department.

At present the drug warehouse running in a rented building on Dastoi Road was having to compromise on the standards. The commissioning of the new warehouse will ensure regular supply of quality medicines to all the government hospitals of the district.
While further expanding the health facilities, blood bank facility has been started in the district hospital, which will provide easy availability of blood to poor patients. Additionally, a dialysis unit will be established soon. Also, a 50-bed critical care hospital is also under construction.
According to CMO Dr. Sunil Tyagi, after inspection by the state level team, storage of medicines will be started in the new warehouse, so that medicines can be made available in sufficient quantity to all the government hospitals.
