A case of attack on a family over a land dispute has come to light in village Dhodhari West of Dehat Kotwali police station area of Balrampur. The incident took place around 7 pm on January 17, where four people together beat the entire family, including the women, with sticks.

In the complaint given to the police, the victim Ayub told that Akbal Ahmed son of Mohammad Raza, Rizwan son of Akbal Ahmed, Imran son of Safi and Imran’s wife started abusing his wife Arbun Nisha. When Ayub protested, the accused attacked him with sticks. His grandson Danis, daughter-in-law Phooljahan and sister-in-law Kamru Nisha, who came to intervene, were also not spared by the accused.
The matter calmed down after the intervention of people from the neighborhood, but while leaving, the accused also threatened the family with life and property. All the members of the victim’s family suffered injuries in the attack.
Dehat Kotwali in-charge Durgesh Singh said that a case has been registered on the basis of the application and the matter is being investigated.
