Actor Urvashi Rautela shared cryptic posts after facing criticism for her comments on Ram Charan and Kiara Advani’s Game Changer. Her film Daaku Maharaaj released two days after Game Changer. In an interview with Lehren TV, Urvashi said Shankar, the director of Game Changer, is very celebrated and mentioned working with him on Indian 2. She added that the “entire game changed” because Game Changer had a lot of hype.
Urvashi had said, “Shankar sir is a very celebrated director. I’ve worked with him before too in Indian 2. I think ye pura hi game change ho gaya because obviously woh film ka bhi bohot zaada hype tha (I think the entire game got changed because even that film obviously was much hyped).”
She went on to add, “But I think ki agar Kiara Advani ki Game Changer disaster hui hai and meri Daaku Maharaaj blockbuster hit hogayi hai, then it’s not my mistake. I feel, ‘Kyun yeh tweets wagera horahi hai’ (if Kiara Advani’s Game Changer is a disaster and my Daaku Maharaaj is a blockbuster hit, then it’s not my mistake. I feel, ‘Why these tweets are happening’).” Urvashi was hinting at tweets that mentioned that Kiara’s film was a flop but Urvashi’s film became a hit.
Urvashi responded to the criticism by sharing cryptic messages on her Instagram Stories. She wrote, “Jealousy from a supreme disaster? Paid PR can’t overshadow real talent and hard work.” In another post, she added, “When failure breeds envy, even paid PR can’t eclipse genuine success.”
Urvashi was also trolled for being insensitive towards Saif Ali Khan after an intruder broke into his face and stabbed him. When asked about the incident, Urvashi had said, “It is very unfortunate. Now Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs 105 crore at the box office, and my mother gifted me this diamond-studded Rolex, while my father gifted me this mini watch on my finger, but we don’t feel confident wearing it outside openly. There is this insecurity that anybody can attack us. Whatever happened was very unfortunate.”
She has since tendered an apology to the actor and his family.
