Taking major action, a joint team of Food Safety Department and Police has recovered a huge quantity of suspicious oil from a house in Jalalabad police station area of ​​Shahjahanpur. During the raid in the house located in Puraina village, the team found about 3 thousand rupees kept in about 200 casks.

Oil sample sent to laboratory

According to sources, the police had been receiving information about the business of adulterated oil in this house for a long time. On Sunday evening, the police shared this information with the Food Department. After which the team led by Assistant Commissioner Food Chandrashekhar Mishra conducted a raid along with the police force. In this operation which lasted for four hours, the team also found some other suspicious material from the house. The Food Safety Department team has taken samples of the recovered oil and sealed them. Sent to laboratory for testing.

Assistant Commissioner Food said that further action will be taken after the investigation report comes. CO Amit Chaurasia said that legal action will be taken after receiving the complaint. This raid has created panic among the oil traders of the area. The department suspects that the oil was being supplied adulterated here.
