A 52-year-old peanut seller died in a tragic road accident in Etah district. The incident took place late at night near ITI of Kotwali Dehat police station area, when an unknown vehicle hit a person carrying a handcart.

The deceased has been identified as Subedar (son of Netram), resident of Asrauli. According to their son Jaiprakash, both of them were returning to their village with a cart of peanuts at 9.30 pm. Jayaprakash was walking ahead and his father was behind when he was hit by an unknown vehicle.

After the incident, the family members immediately took the seriously injured Subedar to the Medical College in Etah, where the doctors declared him dead. There was chaos in the family as soon as the news of death was heard.

SI Suraj Kumar of Lipton outpost said that as soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and took possession of the body and after the Panchnama process, it was sent to the district headquarters for post-mortem. Police are investigating the matter and are searching for an unknown vehicle.
