The woman alleges that instead of taking action against the accused, the inspector in charge of Halka took her husband into illegal custody. They were taken to the police post, misbehaved with them and forced to compromise through intimidation. The victim told that the accused are of domineering nature and are still threatening her and her husband.
In the complaint given to the Police Commissioner, the woman has demanded strict action against the Inspector. He says that with the connivance of the police, the accused are roaming freely, while the victim’s family is being harassed. This case raises questions on the functioning of the police, where instead of providing justice, the complainant is being harassed.
