The court on Wednesday gave an important verdict in a painful murder case in Bijnor. The District Judge has sentenced the accused Mahendra son Govind to life imprisonment and also imposed a fine of Rs 40 thousand.

The matter is of 29 August 2018, when Jasram son of Moolchand, resident of Mohalla Takiyasarai, Town Seohara, had lodged a complaint in Nagina police station. It was told in the complaint that Mahendra son of Govind, Mithlesh wife of Govind, Guddo wife of Vinod and Vinod son of Chatarpal had beaten their daughter to death with an iron rod.
The police took immediate action in the case and registered a case of murder. After investigation, the police filed the charge sheet in the court. Due to the active advocacy of the police and monitoring cell, the trial proceedings were completed and the court awarded severe punishment to the accused. This decision will send a positive message to the society and will act as a warning to criminals.
