4 lakh 49 thousand earthen Shivlingas were made on the last day
On the last day of the festival, four lakh forty nine thousand earthen Shivlingas were made and worshipped at Thakur Priya Kant Ju Mandir situated on Chhatikara Road. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla’s wife Amrita Birla, his mother Shanti Devi and daughter Kamakshi Birla also participated in the Rudrabhishek held during the festival.

With the chanting of the mantra ‘Om Namah Shivaya’, the devotees of Shiv performed abhishek on the Shivling with panchamrit. After the abhishek, the devotees immersed the earthen Shivling in the Yamuna while singing the bhajan ‘Ab jao Bholenath visarjan hai…’. Devki Nandan Maharaj, while narrating the story, said that God never separates from us, it is the human beings who forget him by getting entangled in the illusions of the world. The body has many relations with the world but the soul is related only to the Supreme Soul. Devki Nandan Maharaj told the devotees who had come to the festival that one should first ask God for devotion for one’s family. He said that the sins of the previous life start getting destroyed by attending satsang. If one adopts the beautiful things of satsang in life, then the path of salvation becomes clear.

Loksabha speaker’s wife did the poojan of Vyasa Peetha
Amrita Vidla worshipped the Vyas Peetha and took blessings from Devki Nandan Maharaj. While reciting the verse from Ram Charit Manas, ‘Ek Ghadi Aadhi Ghadi, Aadhi Mein Puni Aadha, Tulsi Sangat Sadhu Ki, Hare Koti Apraadh’, she said that it is a matter of good fortune to meet good people in life. She said that the Ganga of knowledge of devotion should keep flowing from the mouth of Devki Nandan Maharaj. So that the society keeps getting inspiration to follow the right path.

Vishwa Shanti Seva Charitable Trust secretary Vijay Sharma said that more than 22 lakh earthen Shivlingas have been made in 9 days. Devki Nandan Maharaj will organize Shiv Maha Puran Katha Shrawan in New Jersey from August 2.
