Today UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam will be held at 50 centers in Varanasi. A total of 24000 candidates will participate in it. This pre-exam of IAS/IPS/IFS will be held in two shifts. A total of 19 sector magistrates have been deployed in Varanasi for this exam. From the city to

Today, in the first shift from 9.30 am to 11.30 am, the exam for General Studies-1 i.e. GS will be held and in the second shift from 2.30 pm, the exam for General Studies-2 i.e. C-SAT will be held. The reporting time for the candidates is till 8 am. The center management has been ordered to put up a wall clock for the convenience of the candidates. In Varanasi, the maximum number of 576 candidates will appear for the exam at CMG College located at Chandmari and Sai Baba Inter College located at Ashapuri. Whereas, the least number of 78 candidates will appear for the exam at Cutting Memorial College located at Nadesar.

You will get the paper 3 minutes before the exam…

  • The centre supervisor will give the question papers to the invigilator of each examination hall.
  • The sealed paper packet has to be opened 5 minutes before the exam timing.
  • All the papers have to be distributed among the candidates 3 minutes before the exam timing.

You cannot take these items inside

  • Carrying electronic devices such as calculator, slide rule, mobile phone, calculator watch has been banned in the exam center. Apart from this, carrying plain paper, copy, book, notes, magazines, food and gutkha etc. will not be allowed.
  • No kind of item should be kept outside the examination hall.
  • No person or examiner can enter the examination centre with mobile phone, Bluetooth, electronic gadgets or any other communication devices.
