Karan Johar’s directorial debut film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai completed 25 years today. The movie starred Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji in pivotal roles. On the big occasion, Kajol took a trip down the memory lane and stepped back into her character Anjali’s shoes.

Dressing up as her, the actress also penned a heartfelt note that read, “Stepping back into Anjali’s shoes after 25 years ( couldn’t find the basketball though ) So many memories and love attached to this film.. So glad that everyone loves it as much as I do.”

She added, “A first for @karanjohar and a beginning to an amazing journey for @dharmamovies .. Fabulous music that still resonates, even today.. #kkhh is and always will be a labour of love.”

Yesterday night, Shah Rukh Khan, Rani Mukerji and director Karan Johar surprised fans watching special screenings of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. On Sunday night, Karan hosted three special screenings of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in Mumbai as the film completes 25 years. With the film, Karan Johar too completed 25 years in the industry. While fans gathered to relive the iconic film, no one was prepared to watch SRK, Rani and Karan take the centre stage. Fans got emotional as they watched the trio reunite. Kajol couldn’t attend the event due to an outdoor schedule.

Karan Johar’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai remains an iconic film to have come out in the history of Indian Cinema. Whether it was Shah Rukh Khan’s palpable chemistry with Rani Mukerji and Kajor or indelible dialogues such as ‘Tussi Jaa Re Ho, Tussi Na Jaao’, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai continues to be a memorable watch even today. Apart from this, the film also featured Salman Khan as a cameo.
