New cases of coronavirus infection in Uttar Pradesh have started picking up again. During the last 24 hours, 2588 new cases have been reported in the state and 35 Kovid-19 patients have died during this period. Medical and Health Department Additional Chief Secretary Amit Mohan Prasad said on Sunday that the total number of deaths due to virus has increased to 7559 in the state due to the death of 35 more people from Kovid-19 in the state during the last 24 hours.
He said that during the last 24 hours, 2558 new patients were confirmed to be suffering from Kovid-19 in the state. At present, the total number of patients treated in the state is 23 thousand 806, out of which 10 thousand 902 are in home isolation while 2356 are undergoing treatment in private hospitals. Prasad said that the remaining patients are currently being treated free in L-1, L-2 and L-3 hospitals of the state government.
Nearly half a million patients have recovered
Additional Chief Secretary said that a total of 495415 infections have been cured so far, due to which the cure rate of Kovid-19 patients in the state is 94.04 percent. He said that 1 lakh 75 thousand 128 samples were tested in the state on Saturday.
Thus far, a total of 1 crore 79 lakh 85 thousand 811 samples have been tested in the state. The average rate of infection of the samples being tested in the state in the month of November is 1.6 percent. Amit Mohan Prasad said that the districts which are witnessing the highest infection rates in this month are Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Lucknow and Varanasi.
100 people can be involved in marriage in cities adjacent to Delhi
UP Chief Secretary RK Tiwari said that in addition to the people, we are also making people aware about applying masks, social distancing and taking precautions. We are considering limited number of wedding ceremonies and other social events. It is being considered for different situations. The number will be 100 in Gautam Budh Nagar, Ghaziabad, which is the district in the west. Wherever the situation will be, whatever necessary measures will be taken to prevent corona infection.
