Preparations for the annual elections of Sant Kabirnagar Bar Association have been completed. Voting will be held from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm on Monday at the ADR Building located in the Civil Court complex. Election officer Sunil Kumar Chaudhary said that 298 advocates are contesting in this election.

On the last day of the election campaign, the candidates and their supporters tried their best to garner support from the voters. Candidates for the posts of President, General Secretary and Senior Vice President visited the voters’ chamber throughout the day and appealed for votes in the Civil Court complex.
Candidate and post wise competition
Om Prakash Tripathi, Navneet Kumar Pandey, Shashi Kumar Ojha, Santosh Kumar Choudhary, Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Mokarram are in the fray for the post of president. There is a contest between Jitendra Nath Mishra, Sudhir Srivastava, Ramavtar Yadav, Durgesh Mishra and Rana Ravindra Singh for the post of General Secretary, while Mohammad Qasim Ansari and Sudhakar Mishra are trying their luck for the post of Vice President.
Assistant Election Officer said that police force has been demanded to conduct the voting process in a peaceful and fair manner. It will be mandatory for advocates to bring their COP card during voting, so that there is no problem in the voting process. After voting, counting of votes will be done and election results will be declared on the same day.
