Crook caught after police encounter
Police had an encounter with the lifter gang late night in Noida. In which three miscreants were shot. Along with this, a young man who was abducted by the miscreants was also recovered safely. These three miscreants had committed two major incidents in a week in which they had extorted Rs 3 lakh from a Tamil Nadu person by giving lift and Rs 85 thousand from a Satyam person. He has done 13 incidents so far. In which 8 incidents have been reported from Gurugram and five from Noida.
ADCP Ashutosh Dwivedi told that the person whom he looted by taking him hostage today. His identity is Sudhir Kumar son of Rajkumar, resident of Badarpur. Gave him a lift in the car to go to Kalindi Kunj from near Advent Tower. After this, at some distance, one lakh was withdrawn from his account through an ATM.

Sudhir Kumar told the police that the three miscreants gave him a lift from Advent Tower around 6.30 pm. After this, by showing the pistol, tied a strip on the hands and eyes. Kept taking hostage in the car and roaming around. There was no money in his account. That’s why he called the family members and got the money deposited in the account. After that withdraw money from ATM.

After roaming around for two to two and a half hours, the miscreants threw Sudhir on the roadside and went away. When the police reached Sudhir, he was lying in a hostage position on the roadside. His hands were tied. The police freed him hostage and sent him for medical.

It was seen on the expressway and since then checking was being done near Service Road Over Bridge in Sector-98 in Sector-39 area. When the car started leaving from there, the police indicated to stop.

But the miscreants opened fire on the police. Police retaliated. In which all the three miscreants were shot in the leg. They have been identified as Sonu alias Sumit, Yogendra Pratap alias Yogi s/o Shripal, Abhi alias Ravi Sharma s/o Ramphal Bhopura of Ghaziabad. From their possession, 03 pistols with 315 bore live and hollow cartridges and 86 thousand rupees in looted cash have been recovered.
