Karan Johar recently arrived as a guest on the reality show Indian Idol. During this, he shared an anecdote related to the film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. He told that I was casting for 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai'. The roles of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol were fixed. But no actor was ready to play the role of 'Aman' played by Salman.
He said- I had talked to 3 to 4 actors for the guest role. I will not take the names of those actors. But all four of them refused me. I was very upset by this. Once upon a time, there was a party at Chunky Pandey's house. I reached the party with a sad face. Salman Khan was also there.
- Salman saw me, came to me and said in his style, have you done the shopping?
- Karan is unable to understand the meaning of Salman. They ask shopping?
- Salman said- You did not go to everyone to ask…that is shopping only.
- Karan said- Yes, I had gone.
- Salman said- But to do this film someone must be mad, and that mad person is me. You come tomorrow and tell me the story.
- Karan said- I reached his house. I was afraid in my mind that Salman might be thinking that I am offering him the role of Shahrukh. I told him that your role will come in the second half.
- Salman said- What difference does it make to me? I know your father. I am doing this film for them. Whatever the role, it doesn't matter to me.
Karan told that Salman was such a big star that he was not even in my list. I could not even imagine that he would ever be ready for this role.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai was released in the year 1998 on 16 October. The film has completed 25 years. The film was the highest-grossing Indian film of that time and the third-highest-grossing Indian film of that time.
The film made in Dharma Production was directed by Karan Johar. This was his directorial debut film. Talking about the star cast, apart from Shahrukh Khan and Kajol, Rani Mukherjee, Anupam Kher and Archana Puran Singh were also in lead roles in the film. At the same time, Salman Khan also had a cameo in it.
