Police have arrested four accused who attacked a young man with knives and then opened fire with the intention of killing him at Masoodabad intersection in Bannadevi police station area of Aligarh. All four accused were absconding since the incident and the police is searching for them.

The police had received information about the accused through their informer on Monday. After which the team of Bannadevi police station was sent to arrest the accused. The police have created a blockade and arrested the accused near the workshop ground in front of the Municipal Corporation. Illegal weapons and cartridges have also been recovered from the accused.
Bullets were fired at the youth from a pistol
On September 19, some accused had opened fire at the Masoodabad intersection, causing a stampede. The accused wanted to kill Arif, a resident of Nai Basti. The victim had told the police that the accused first attacked him with knives.
The accused had attacked Arif several times with a knife, due to which he was seriously injured. When he ran to save his life, the accused opened fire with their pistols. One bullet even missed Arif’s head. Somehow the victim saved his life. One accused in this has already gone to jail. The other 4 were caught on Monday.
Many cases are registered against all the accused
The police arrested Juvair alias Khanna, son of Dilshad Pehalwan, resident of Fafala Market, police station Dehligate, Azad son of Aabad Mian, Syed Wada Bawri Mandi, police station Kotwali Nagar, Kamran son of Anwar, resident of Gali No. 4, police station Rorawar and Talib son of Aslam, resident of Jangalgarhi, who attacked the youth. Is.
All four accused are professional criminals and several cases are already registered against them in Bannadevi, Kotwali and Sasnigate police stations. These cases are under sections of smuggling, cow slaughter, Arms Act and Gangster Act. Police have also recovered 2 pistols and 4 live cartridges from the accused.
Inspector Pankaj Mishra said that the police team that took action included SI Praveen Kumar, Vaibhav Tyagi, Constable Ashish Kumar, Sandeep Sharma, Murari Lal, Samit Kumar.
